Former Lindenwood Women's Hockey Player,
Lucie Quarto, has signed a two-year professional contract overseas with the Malmo Redhawks in Sweden, which was announced Wednesday by the club. Quarto, a native of Besancon, France played three seasons with the Lions in which she appeared in 64 games recording two goals, four assists, 34 shots on goal, and blocked 42 shots in her Lindenwood career. The Blueliner also represented Team France in the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy where she appeared in all four Preliminary Round games for the French National Team and totaled 69:43 of ice time with one shot on goal.
The Malmo Redhwaks, founded in 1972, are members of the NDHL which is the second highest tier of Women's Professional Hockey in Sweden.
Quarto becomes the second player to sign a contract overseas from the 2025-26 squad in which the Lions won a program-record 14 games and earned the No. 3 seed in the AHA playoffs, where they defeated Robert Morris for their first playoff win since 2017.
