On Monday morning, Lindenwood Men's Soccer Head Coach Kris Bertsch has announced that Glodi Konga will be joining the coaching staff for the 2026 season. Konga, who most recently was the head coach at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo brings over a decade of coaching experience including stints at Liberty Univeristy, New College of Florida, and Eastern University. 

"I am excited to add Glodi, his wife Arianna, and son Zebediah into the Lindenwood Soccer family. He is a well-respected coach in our industry and has a wealth of coaching experience at different levels. But more importantly, he is a tremendous person who aligns with our core values and principles. Glodi has an open view of the game and how to coach various players and teams. It takes a humble person and approach to successfully coach players and teams, and I think Glodi will continue to do that here at Lindenwood." said Bertsch. 

Dr. Glodi Konga spent the 2025 season at Liberty Univeristy as an associate head coach. The Flames posted a record of 9-5-6 during the season and advanced to the OVC Tournament Semifinal round for the first time since they joined the conference back in 2023. He returned to Liberty after two years as the inaugural men's soccer head coach at New College of Florida in Sarasota, Fla., where he led the Mighty Bayans to a 10-3-1 record in the program's first season (2023).

Prior to his role at NCF, Konga was a member of the Eastern University coaching staff from 2021 to 2023. He began as an assistant coach, served as interim head coach in 2022, and was promoted to full-time head coach in 2023. Konga also was a head coach at Valley Forge for the 2017 and 2018 seasons, and he currently serves as the Director of Soccer for Central Virginia United Soccer Club. He has been a head coach with Buxmont Torch FC (NPSL) and was apart of the technical staff with Sarasota Paradise (USL2), helping the team win two divisional titles on the road to becoming a professional club.

As a player, Konga was a defender for Liberty in 2014 and 2015, appearing in 18 games with 14 starts. In 2014, he helped anchor a defense that recorded six shutouts, contributing to an 11-6-1 season. A native of London, England, Konga transferred to Liberty from Cairn University (2012–2013) after beginning his collegiate career at Cloud County (2011–2012). He was part of Cloud County's 2011 NJCAA National Championship team, which posted a 22-1-3 record with 17 shutouts, and he has since been inducted into the school's Hall of Fame. Following graduation, Konga played professionally for the Philadelphia Fury for two seasons.

Konga earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science (2015) and master's degree in sport management (2016) from Liberty. He completed his Ph.D. in Sports Leadership at Concordia University Chicago in 2023. He holds a UEFA "B" License and has led several teams on international tours with Athletes in Action and Ambassadors Football, competing against professional teams.

He and his wife, Arianna, have a two-year-old son, Zebediah.
