On Tuesday morning, the Ohio Valley Conference announced its first Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors of the season, featuring Lindenwood's fifth-year forward Luca Bartoni. The St. Louis native was tabbed the OVC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two second-half goals in the season-opening win over Chicago State last Thursday.

Bartoni's two goals in the 2026 season opener marked a single-game career high, while his four points tied his single-game career high. The 2025 OVC Forward of the Year took four shots in the 3-0 win over the Cougars, with three on target in 82 minutes played. Bartoni has now won two OVC Offensive Player of the Week awards as a member of the Lions.

Lindenwood will return to action tomorrow night at 7 p.m. when they host Blackburn College. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
