Men's Soccer Announces 2026 Recruiting Class

On Friday afternoon, the Lindenwood Men's Soccer program announced their 2026 recruiting class which features the biggest class in program history. This class is the highest nationally ranked recruiting class to date with the previous three classes also being national ranked. The Lions are coming off an incredible 2025 season in which they appeared in the 2025 NCAA Tournament and finished the season with an overall record of 14-3-4 while capturing their first regular season and postseason championships at the Division I level.

"Our recruiting classes have been built upon seeking out student-athletes who believe in our core values and pillars. It's imperative we pursue those who value being a part of something bigger than themselves, want to excel in the classroom, in our community, and value wanting to be a part of an incredible culture. As we continue to raise the bar on and off the field, we have not wavered from recruiting those who value what it means to be in the Lindenwood Soccer family and representing our great university. The 2026 recruiting class will again push the standard of excellence even higher and help continue to establish our program as one of the fastest rising programs in NCAA Division I college soccer. Coming off 25 wins the previous two seasons, earning OVC Regular Season and Tournament titles, and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2025, we know the challenges in continuing to make progress. More than half of the incoming recruiting class is made up of true Freshman in addition to transfers from various collegiate divisions and those from our Recruiting ID camps. So we believe we have secured a very talented and well-rounded recruiting class to help Lindenwood Soccer into the future. I am excited for these young men to join our family and to help develop them on and off the field during their time at Lindenwood." said Lindenwood Men's Soccer Head Coach Kris Bertsch.

Bertsch on Walls:
"Ethan is yet another exciting player we recruited from our recruiting ID camps. After having initially caught our eye at a showcase, Ethan came to campus, showed well, and our coaching staff enjoyed getting to know him on a deeper level. He's a dynamic, attacking player with a low center of gravity who can create well on the dribble and is dangerous in the final third. Ethan has the ability to make something out of nothing and continues to get better as we've seen this spring in our environment. We believe he is going to have a tremendous rise at Lindenwood and has a bright future."

Walls on why he chose Lindenwood:
"I chose to come to Lindenwood because from the moment I made contact with the coaching staff, I could tell the philosophy of the program was exactly what I was looking for. The coaches made it clear that excellence was expected both on the field and in the classroom, and those were the types of standards I was looking for. I also really appreciated how much the program valued having a family environment. This is something that I personally believe is the key to a winning program, and I knew that combined with the program standards for performance on the pitch and in the classroom would be a perfect fit for me. I'm very excited to join and contribute to the Lindenwood program."
