The Lindenwood Women's Hockey team begins the 2026-27 season on the road at Post Univeristy beginning on Friday, September 18 under first year Head Coach Max Gavin. The Lions are coming off a program-record 14 win season in 2025-26, winning their first playoff game since March 2, 2017.  

Lindenwood returns three of their top five point leaders from a season ago in Tatiana Blichova, Michaela Paulinyova, and Silje Gundersen. Blichova was named to the 2025-26 AHA All-Rookie Team after recording 31 points as a Freshman (15 G, 16 A). The Slovakia native recorded six multi-point performances in conference play last season, and tallied 13 goals and 11 assists in 26 AHA games to finish her rookie campaign with 24 conference points. Her 13 goals ranked sixth in the league, and she was one of only five skaters to record a hat trick in conference play a season ago. Blichova also became the first freshman to lead the Lions in scoring since they joined the conference in 2012-13.

LU brings in 12 newcomers to the team in 2026-27, with eight being Freshman and four being transfers. Among the transfers, Junior Forward Renee Ng recorded 52 points in 52 games at Wilkes University as a Freshman and Sophomore. In 2025-26, Ng had seven multi-point games and scored her first career hat trick on January 24, 2026 in an 8-1 win over Alvernia


About Post University
Post finished the 2025-26 season with an overall record of 11-25-1 with 10 of their wins coming in the NEWHA. The Eagles made an appearance in the NEWHA quarterfinals round before falling in a three game series to Assumption University. 

Entering the new season, Post returns one of their top points leader from last season in Senior Forward Jodie Rose. Rose appeared in all 37 games for the Eagles and recorded 11 points on four goals and seven assists while blocking 35 shots. They also return their number two and three goaltenders from a season ago, who played a combined 11 games in 2025-26 and posted a record of 3-5-0 in eight starts between the pipes. 

Lindenwood leads the all-time series with a record of 2-0-0. The two squads faced one another in 2019 with the Lions sweeping the series by scores of 12-0 and 5-0, and over the last four seasons, AHA teams are 12-0-0 against Post.

The Lions will head to Merrimack College next week for their second series of the regular season on Thursday and Friday, September 24 and 25. Puck drop on Thursday is set for 4 PM CT followed by a 1 PM puck drop on Friday.
