The Lindenwood women's golf team will begin play at the Johnie Imes Invitational on Monday in Columbia, Mo.
Action at The Club at Old Hawthorne will include 36 holes on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday.

THE COURSE
Opened in 2007 and designed by architect Art Schaupeter, the 18-hole championship course sits on 631 acres of land that was previously a horse farm. A par-72 course stretching 7,221 yards, featuring Zoysia grass tees and fairways with T-1/Alpha Bent grass greens. It serves as the official home course and headquarters for the University of Missouri's SEC golf programs and has hosted major events like the 2014 NCAA Regional and the 2016 Missouri Amateur Championship.

Lindenwood opened its season with a 313 in round one, led by Andrea Alavarez who fired a 76. She was closely followed by
Jamie Daniels who carded a 77 behind two birdies an eagle on the Par 4 second. Third in scoring was
Meredith Colby who shot 79, while
Petra Balkovec made her Lindenwood debut and fired an 81. Rounding out the lineup was Sophia Leffler with an 83.
In round two, the Lions compiled a 318 as a team, led by
Isabella Buckley who carded a 77 as an individual. The top team finisher was Alvarez with a 78, followed by Daniels and Colby with 79 and 80, respectively. Alavarez had a team-high three birdies across the second 18. Balkovec carded 81 and Leffler finished with 85. After two rounds, Lindenwood sat in 12th place.
To close out the tournament, Lindenwood carded a 313 once again led by Colby with a 76 who jumped up 10 spots on the leaderboard. She was closely followed by Daniels with a 77, while Alvarez and Balkovec each shot 80. Lefler finished her tournament with an 83. Individually, Buckley carded a 78.
