Quinn Closson has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for the second consecutive week, as announced by the OVC on Tuesday morning. The fifth-year goalkeeper has now earned five OVC weekly honors during his two-year Lindenwood career.

In the Lions' most recent contest, Closson made four saves in the OVC opener at UTRGV on Saturday night. Three of his saves came in the first half, tying his season best for the most saves recorded in the opening 45 minutes. The Fairfield, Connecticut native recorded his OVC-leading fourth clean sheet of the season in the 0-0 draw against the Vaqueros and leads the OVC in several goalkeeping categories, including goals-against average (0.71), shutouts (four), and save percentage (.793). Closson's four shutouts are tied for 10th in the country, while his 0.71 GAA ranks 22nd nationally.

Closson and the Lions will return to action on Thursday for the first of four straight home matches, beginning with Incarnate Word. Kickoff from Steward Field at Hunter Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
