Mitch Vielhauer is in his second season with the Lions. He will be working with the outfielders and hitters, as well as being the academic coordinator for the baseball team.
Vielhauer began his collegiate career playing for Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kan. for two years and then played his final two seasons at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kan. He was an all-conference performer for the Braves and he also earned a Gold Glove at second base his senior year. In his last season as a Brave he helped the team to a KCAC conference championship.
Vielhauer has spent the last two years coaching baseball at Shawnee Mission South High School.
He received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Sports and Recreation from Ottawa University. Vielhauer is currently pursuing his Masters in Leadership while coaching at Lindenwood University.
