Barber enters her first season with Lindenwood Field Hockey in the 2019 season. She is a local product who was born in Bridgeton, Mo. and lived in O’Fallon, Mo. for the majority of her life. Barber started playing field hockey at the age of 10 for Gateway Field Hockey Club. She attended Lafayette High School in Wildwood, Mo. where Barber was a part of the 2011 State Champion Team and voted Player of the Year.
Barber went on to play at Indiana University from 2013-17 where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Community Health, with minors in Psychology and Global Health Promotions. At Indiana, she was a two-year captain, the first player in IU field hockey history to receive first-team All-American honors from multiple publications (NFHCA, Synapse Sports), the second Hoosier to make the All-American first team and the fourth Hoosier with multiple All-American seasons. Barber scored 18 goals For IU in 2016 (IU single-season record) while posting 40 points (IU single-season record). In her career, she scored 28 career goals (4th – IU history), and has six game-winning goals (7th – IU history).
After graduation, Barber spent six months playing, coaching, and working in Melbourne, Australia. She has been a coach for Gateway Field Hockey in St. Louis on and off over the years. Barber also works as an Assistant Coach at Villa Duchesne, who has won back-to-back State Championships (2017, 2018).
