George Little is in his fifth season as a member of the coaching staff for the Lindenwood women’s basketball team, including his second at the head coach.
Last season, Little led Lindenwood to a 14-16 overall record and the Lady Lions were one win away from finishing .500 in the HAAC with a 9-11 mark. The team’s 14 wins was the most for the program since 2000-01. The Lady Lions also reestablished their home court advantage by finishing above .500 at the Hyland Performance Arena.
Little helped one athlete be named second-team All-HAAC and three members of the team were named NAIA Scholar Athletes.
Little served as an assistant coach for the Lady Lions from 2005-2008. He was responsible for recruiting, as well as assisting in floor coaching and game preparation. Lindenwood improved its overall and conference record in each of the last two seasons he was an assistant, and the program has reached the HAAC Tournament each year that Little has been on the bench.
Prior to coming to Lindenwood, Little was on the men’s basketball coaching staff at Harris-Stowe from 2001-04, including being the head coach for the 2003-04 season.
He also has coaching experience at Florissant Valley Community College from 1997-2001. He was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the first three years there. In 2000-01, he served as the interim head coach there and helped the team to a 24-10 record and a seventh-place national finish.
Little received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College in Liberal Arts, with a minor in Marketing. He earned a Master of Arts in Sports Management from Lindenwood.
