Chris Mileski

    Cycling Volunteer Assistant Coach
Chris Mileski became head coach of the Lindenwood cycling team prior to the 2009-10 season as the program began its third year overall.  After five years as head coach, he stepped into the role of consultant and program director for the team, but now has settled into a volunteer assistant coaching role. 

Mileski was a member of the University of Arizona Cycling Team from 1994-97. He previously served as the Vice President of the Missouri Bicycle Racing Association, and was the Course Marshal Coordinator for the inaugural Tour of Missouri in 2007.

Mileski is the Director of Exercise Physiology and Sports Performance for Sports Enhancement Group, LLC, where he has been directly responsible for training over 1,700 amateur, professional and Olympic athletes, including MLB NL MVP Ryan Howard, the NFL’s James Laurinaitis, and the NHL’s Paul Stastny. He is also the founder and senior coach for Off the Front Racing, where he designs programs for endurance athletes that specialize in cycling, triathlon, adventure racing, and running events.

Prior to going to Arizona, Mileski was a communication and logistics commander in the United State Marine Corps from 1985-1991. He earned the Navy Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal while serving in the United States Marine Corps.

From 1998-2002, Mileski worked as an exercise physiologist for Gold Medal Rehab and Fitness, which was owned by U.S. Olympic Track Coach Robert D. Kersee. Among the athletes he trained at Gold Medal include Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Gail Devers, Jerome Bettis, and Ty Law. In 2000, Mileski served as a strength and conditioning consultant for the World Tennis Association, and worked directly for Monica Seles, Lindsay Davenport, and James Blake.

Mileski earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona in 1997. He is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a USA Cycling Level I Coach, a USA Triathlon Level I coach, and a USA Track and Field Sprints/Hurdles Coach. He has participated and taught in over 25 USA Cycling seminars and workshops.
