Jan. 21, 2009—The Lindenwood University women’s wrestling team fell to Missouri Valley 30-13 Wednesday.

The Lady Lions started off well with Maria Henriquez defeating Britney Heatherly and Priscilla Caldera pinning Brittany Bertolani. With both teams forfeiting an early match, Lindenwood led 13-6.

After that, Missouri Valley went on a winning streak that saw Odetha Marshall, Cortnei Mudge and Sarah Gendler lose by decisions. The Vikings also won the final three weight classes by forfeit.

The Lady Lions compete in the WCWA College Nationals in Marshall, Mo.on Jan. 31.
