The Lindenwood field hockey team defeated Hendrix College (Ark.) this past weekend, 2-1, in overtime. It was the Lady Lions second straight win, and second against Hendrix this year.

The first half ended with neither team scoring and the Warriors went ahead on a Liz Williamson goal midway through the second half. The scored remained 1-0 until Lindenwood's Lauren Cato scored an unassisted goal with 58 seconds remaining in regulation.

Tied at one, the two teams headed to overtime. Less than three minutes into the extra period, Cato scored the game winner to propel the Lady Lions to their second consecutive overtime victory.

Lindenwood (5-5) will not play again until November 1 at home against Sewanee University.
