Lady Lions Fall in Key HAAC Game to Central Methodist

With a win on Tuesday night the Lady Lion soccer team could have moved into a tie for third place in the HAAC and on the verge of hosting a conference tournament game at home, but the visiting Central Methodist Eagles played the role of the spoiler. The Eagles came into Harlen C. Hunter Stadium and stunned the Lady Lions, 2-0.

Central Methodist got the scoring going early when Kennedy Seifert scored in just the seventh minute of the game. The Eagles would add a goal in the 25th minute to take a 2-0 lead into the half.

The second half was a half that was dominated by the Lady Lions but they could not get one by the stingy Eagle defense. Lindenwood out shot the Eagles 8-3 in the second half and had numerous opportunities to get back in the game.

With the loss the Lady Lions drop to 6-7-1 and most importantly 3-3-1 in HAAC play. The Lady Lions do not have any time to sulk about the loss because on Saturday they will take on the number one team in the HAAC, Graceland, on the road.
