After a scoreless first half the Lindenwood Lady Lions and Avila Eagles would both net a goal in the second half and that would be it. The game would end in a 1-1 tie after two extra periods.
Avila would take the lead in the 51st minute when Rachelle Luster would score to give the Eagles the 1-0 lead. It only took the Lady Lions five minutes to even the score.
Hannah McKeon would score her first collegiate goal to tie the game. The Lady Lions out-shot the Eagles 24-14 and forced the Eagles goalie to make 14 saves.
With the tie the Lady Lions' record runs to 3-4-1 and 0-1-1 in conference play. Next up for the Ladies is their first conference home game against Culver-Stockton on October 6 at 6:00 p.m.
