Washington University beat both the Lindenwood men and women's swimming teams on Friday night. The men fell to the Bears 122-114 and the women lost to the Washington women 140-64.
DJ Ashruf led the way for the Lions winning the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events while Colin Sharpe was first in the one and three meter diving events. Other winners on the men's side was Javier Hernandez in the 100 yard butterfly and Carlos Tejero in the 100 yard backstroke. The 200 yard medley relay team also finished with the best time.
On the ladies side, Lauren Thrasher won the 100 yard breast stroke and the 200 yard freestyle team was victorious in their competition.
Next up for the men and the women is the Washington Invitational on January 15th.
