The Lindenwood women's soccer team defeated Covenant University (Ga.) 1-0 Tuesday afternoon at Harlen C. Hunter Stadium. 

The game started with neither team really establishing much possession. Towards the end of the half each team got off a couple of shots though, which added some anticipation for the second half.

Four minutes into the second half, Jamie Winchell put away her first goal of the season, on a ball that was crossed into the box from Paige Hickey. This broke the deadlock and opened the game up. Lindenwood dominated by having 18 shots compared to Covenant's three.

Whitney Calvin started in goal for the Lady Lions and stopped all of Scot's scoring chances. The win improved her record to 5-6-1 and recorded her fourth shutout of the season

With the win the Lady Lions improved to 5-9-1, as they go on the road to Baker University on Saturday.
