Men's Basketball Improves To 3-1 With Victory Over Concordia Seminary

The Lindenwood men's basketball team won its second game in two days on Friday night with a 68-53 win over Concordia Seminary.

The starters put the game away early for the Lions as Lindenwood jumped out to a 20-2 lead in the first six minutes of the contest. The Lions led by 25 at halftime as they shot 51.4 percent from the field and held the Preachers to just 26.5 percent shooting.

The second half was a chance for Lindenwood's bench players to see their first significant playing time of the season and the Lions never let Concordia Seminary get closer than 14 points.

Richard Rose led the Lions with 14 points in 10 minutes. He was six of seven from the field and made two three-pointers. Alex Bazzell also had a pair of three-pointers and finished with 11 points. Brandon Kunkel added 10 points and Tyler Harris had nine. Efkan Eren had a team-high six rebounds and scored eigh points. Both Bazzell and Kramer Soderberg had four assists, Alfred Nelson blocked three shots, and Eren had three steals.

Lindenwood will be in action again at the Hyland Arena on Tuesday night with a 7 p.m. contest against Mid-Continent.
