Lions Roller Hockey Wins Five Games Over the Weekend

The Lindenwood roller hockey team kept its undefeated season alive this weekend with five wins over Meramec, Louisiana-Lafayette, Illinois and Missouri-St. Louis, twice.

In the first game of the weekend the Lions upended the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 3-1. Dave Thomas started between the pipes and was spectacular, only surrendering one goal. Junior Michael Inouye netted a goal and helped on another. Inouye's line mate, Shawn Sullivan, added a goal and two assists.

Next up for Lindenwood was the Meramec Stars. It was all Lions, as they crushed the Stars, 13-3. Inouye was once again the star of the game, netting a hat trick to go along with a pair of assists.

The final win on Saturday night was over Louisiana-Lafayette via a forfeit.

Lindenwood would wrap up the perfect weekend with two more wins on Sunday. The day started with a 10-0 shutout win over the Illinois Fighting Illini. Sullivan would once again play well three goals and an assist. In the night cap the Lions dispatched Missouri-St. Louis for the second time this weekend, 6-2.
