The No. 18 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team fell in its home opener on Friday evening, dropping a 17-4 decision to No. 11 Colorado State.
The Rams scored the first seven goals of the game and Lindenwood could never get back into it. Colorado State led 10-2 at halftime and outscored the Lions 7-2 in the second half.
Sam Spallitta led Lindenwood with a pair of third quarter goals.
Jordan McKay and
Tyler Davis had the other goals, and
Greg Cameron had an assist for the Lions.
Lindenwood falls to 0-3 on the season. The team will be in action again at Hunter Stadium on Sunday versus the Texas Longhorns.
