Lindenwood built an early 11-5 lead in set one, but the Raiders remained close, converting four straight points to trim the lead to 15-11. Two quick points by Rick Hess and Raphael Mattos put Lindenwood back in control. Moments later, Matt Schmack recorded a kill and a block to extend the lead to 22-14, and Taylor Morrill had three consecutive kills to help Lindenwood pull away.

Trailing 6-5 in the early stages of game two, the Lions surged ahead with five straight points capped by a Jack Mitchell kill. Once again, the Raiders used a quick spurt to pull close.
