The men's lacrosse team jumped out to a big lead early on Sunday at Hunter Stadium and ended with a 22-9 victory over Central Michigan.
The Lions outscored their opposition by an 8-1 margin in the second period to lead 13-4 at halftime. Lindenwood kept pulling away in the second-half with a 9-5 advantage.
Tyler Davis scored six goals, including four in that big second quarter.
Sam Spallitta added four goals,
Jordan McKay had a hat trick, and
Greg Cameron and
Justin Stuebing each had two scores. Other goals came from
Jack Carroll, Emilios Papanastasious,
Josh Arras,
Steven Shelley, and
Austin Lahr.
Lindenwood improves to 6-4 on the year. The Lions will face Illinois State on Thursday in a neutral site contest in O'Fallon, Ill.
