Benedictine snapped the Lindenwood softball team's 12 game winning streak in game one of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon in Atchinson, Kan., but the Lady Lions responded by edging the Ravens in game two.
Benedictine won 8-3 in game one, as
Rebecca Peddicord took the loss.
Danielle Merli led the Lady Lions offensively, collecting three hits and driving in a pair of runs.
Caitlin Diesen's three-run home run in the fourth inning propelled Lindenwood to a 4-3 win. It was Diesen's first home run of the season.
Aubrey Moss picked up her ninth win on the season striking out six in the process.
Lindenwood (25-17, 13-3) will travel to Graceland tomorrow for a pair of HAAC contests. The Lady Lions are two games back of MidAmerica Nazarene in the conference standings, but are tied in the loss column with the Pioneers.
