The Lindenwood field hockey team earned a 2-1 win over Hendrix Saturday morning in Conway, Ark. It was the team's second victory over the Warriors in the last seven days.
Penalty corners proved to be the difference in the game, an area where Lindenwood held an 11-9 advantage.
Haley McCulloch gave the Lady Lions a 1-0 lead late in the first half after scoring off a rebound on a penalty corner.
Lauren Cato pushed the lead to two after scoring on a crossing pass on a penalty corner early in the second half. Hendrix scored shortly after, but the Lady Lion defense would keep the Warriors off the scoreboard the rest of the way.
Julianne Sutton earned the win in goal while stopping four shots. The Lady Lions outshot the Warriors 14-7.
Lindenwood (2-3) will host Wittenberg next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
