The Lindenwood men's soccer team continued its hot start with a 2-0 victory on Friday afternoon against NCAA Division II Oakland City.
The Lions received two goals from
Igor Inic in the win, his first two scores of the season. The game-winning goal came in the 25th minute off an assist from
Azeem Razwan. Just over five minutes later, Inic struck again, this time with
Nenad Curic earning the assist.
The Lindenwood defense kept Oakland City away from the goal for the majority of the game, as Oakland City had just one shot on goal.
Victor Francoz made the one save as he earned the shutout.
Lindenwood improves to 5-1 overall. The team will stay at Oakland City for another day and face Cumberland in a neutral site contest tomorrow afternoon.
