The Lindenwood Lady Lions soccer team went on the road to Culver-Stockton on Wednesday afternoon and would tie with the Wildcats 2-2.
Just six minutes into the game the Wildcats got on the scoreboard first when Natascha Lord scored to give the home team the 1-0. It did not take the Lady Lions long to answer though. In the ninth minute Jenni Tenholder would score to tie the game up at one. The game would remain tied heading into the half.
With the game knotted up at one, the Lady Lions would break the tie in the 58th minute when Bailey Cody would give Lindenwood the 2-1 lead. The Lady Lions would hold the lead until late in the game when Kaylie Erickson of Culver would tie the score in the 87th minute.
The game would remain tied at the end of regulation. Neither team could break the tie in the first overtime and the same in the second overtime. The tie was the first for both teams this season.
Lindenwood would run its record to 3-4-1 and a 1-0-1 mark in the HAAC. Up next for the Lady Lions is a home game against Avila on Saturday afternoon.
