The Lindenwood men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in the Washington University Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The men's squad finished in second place, with 829.5 points, just behind Missouri S&T. On the women's side, the Lady Lions placed third out of six squads.
Leading the way for the men was
Javier Hernandez, who was victorious in the 200 yard butterfly, 400 yard individual medley, and the 100 yard butterfly.
Colin Sharpe finished in first place in both the one meter and three meter diving events.
On the women's side, the 400 yard medley relay team consisting of
Stephanie Heutel,
Kiana White,
Sarah Billiamosa, and
Kaci Dowdy finished in first place.
Next up for both the men and the women is a home quad meet against Saint Louis, Illinois IT, and Missouri State next Saturday afternoon.
