The Lindenwood men's volleyball team fell to Loyola Chicago by a final of 3-1 in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday afternoon. The Lions got off to an early lead, winning the first game 25-23, but lost the next three games by scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-21.
Mike Warren had an excellent offensive performance, leading Lindenwood with 20 kills.
Mike Larson, who helped out on many of those kills, contributed 42 assists and two service aces. Defensively,
Mike Emerick had eight digs, while
Matt Schmack and
Rick Hess both recorded three total blocks.
On Friday night, the Lions lost to Lewis University by a score of 3-0 in Romeoville, Illinois. The Lions lost all three games of the match by scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-19.
Warren and
Bradley Johnston both tallied a team high six kills, while
Carson Grissinger led the Lions with 15 assists. Emerick recorded six digs on the defensive end.
Lindenwood will continue on the road when it travels to Marshall, Missouri to play Missouri Valley on Tuesday night.
