Baseball Team Falls to SCAD

The Lindenwood Lions baseball team dropped a 3-1 pitchers' duel on Sunday afternoon in Montgomery, Ala. against Savannah College of Art and Design.

SCAD jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second. The Bees added an unearned run in the fourth to take a 3-0 lead. Lindenwood scored a run in the top of the sixth but could not get any closer.

The two starting pitchers combined for just three earned runs and just six hits. Zac Pearman started for the Lions and only surrendered three hits and two earned runs. SCAD's starter Bennie Sanchez gave up just one and struck out six.

Mario Parra led the Lions at the plate going two for three and a RBI.

The Lions will be back in action next weekend with four games against Bacone College.
