Lindenwood Men's Volleyball Falls in Season Opener

The Lindenwood men's volleyball team was defeated by Ball State University Friday night in Muncie, Indiana to open the 2011 season.

All three games were close with the largest winning margin for Ball State being three points. The first set was tied at 23 apiece before the home team prevailed, and the second set was tied at 24 points aside before the home team pulled away. The Lions fell 25-23, 27-25, 25-22 in the games.

JM Plummer recorded a game-high 14 kills. Mike Larson also had a game-high in assists with 32 helpers. Mike Warren led the Lions with 11 digs, while contributing nine kills as well.

Lindenwood will host Quincy University next Friday in search of its first win of the season.
