Box Score The Lindenwood men's soccer team upended the Park University Pirates 1-0 on Wednesday night in St. Charles, Mo.
Just 23 minutes into the contest, Park's Kiel Williams was given a red card, which caused the Pirates to play a man down for the rest of the game. The Lions got on the scoreboard in the 37th minute when
Craig McTear scored his second goal of the season. The game would stay 1-0 heading into the locker room.
The game was very physical as the teams combined for 16 fouls, one red card, and two yellow cards. Park threatened late with numerous chances to tie the score but was unsuccessful.
Franc Sanz started in goal for Lindenwood and stopped all three of Park's shots.
With the win the Lions improved to 5-7 and Park dropped to 4-6. Up next for the Lions are games against Rogers State and University of Science and Arts Oct. 8-9.
