Storyline
The Lindenwood women's ice hockey team has a busy week on the ice before it has a three-week break in the schedule. On Thursday night, the Lady Lions will take on Bemidji State in the U.S. Hall of Fame Face-Off Classic in Eveleth, Minn.

Saturday, Lindenwood returns to the Lindenwood Ice Arena for its final two official home games of the season. The Lady Lions will take on Robert Morris on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at noon.

Last Time Out
Lindenwood's offense broke out last week during two games against NCAA Division III programs.

Last Friday, the team won its first game against a NCAA opponent with a 7-1 win over Saint Benedict. The Lady Lions broke open a close game by outscoring the Blazers 5-0 in the third period.

On Saturday, Lindenwood had a 6-2 lead at one point against St. Catherine. The Wildcats scored four straight power-play goals to tie the game, and then won it midway through the third.

Hat Trick
Caitlyn Post scored Lindenwood's first hat trick during the program's transition season to the NCAA. The feat occurred during the St. Catherine contest. She scored on a power play less than six minutes into the game. She then had back-to-back even strength goals early in the second period.

The three goals were the first of her collegiate career. She now has five points on the season.

Three-Point Games
Alison Wickenheiser had two three-point games last weekend. Versus Saint Benedict, she had one goal and two assists. The next day, she recorded three assists.

Caitlyn Post and Alison Wickenheiser have three of the team's four three-point games this year. The first one was Katie Erickson versus Minnesota State.

Another Season High
Jordyn Constance also set a team season-high last week with seven shots on goal versus Saint Benedict.

Power-Play Goals
Lindenwood has scored power-play goals in three straight games. Over half of the team's goals this season have come when the two teams are not at even strength. The Lady Lions have 10 power-play goals and three shorthanded goals.

First Points
Three more Lady Lions scored their first points of the season last week. Amy Stober had her first NCAA goal against Saint Benedict. Sydney Gorzitza and Kendra Ganchar each had their first goals of the season in the St. Catherine contest.

Freshman Alison Wickenheiser leads the team with five goals and eight assists.
