Box Score The Lindenwood men's basketball team used a strong first half to roll to a 93-70 win over the La Sierra Golden Eagles on Wednesday afternoon in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In the opening half, the Lions shot over 65 percent from the field and from behind the arc to jump out to a 12 point lead. The second half was not as kind to the Lions, even though they shot 52 percent from the field. The Golden Eagles could never get the lead below 12 in the second half and the lead was as high as 27 for Lindenwood.
Garrett Reeg led the way for the Lions with 24 points. The sophomore started the contest on fire, scoring 19 first half points. He finished the game missing just one shot in nine attempts.
Tyler Ressel continued his hot shooting from behind the arc going 4-for-7, and scoring 15 points.
Alex Bazzell and
Kramer Soderberg each scored 12 points.
Cody Sorenson led the way on the boards with eight.
The Lions forced the Golden Eagles into 18 turnovers and held them to 42 percent shooting from the floor. Lindenwood outrebounded La Sierra 35-30.
With the win the Lions have now won eight in a row and are 11-1 on the season. Lindenwood will be right back in action tomorrow night when the team takes on the Menlo Oaks at 6:00 p.m. central time.
