The Lindenwood men's basketball team knocked down 17 three-pointers on Saturday night in a 95-82 victory over Graceland at Hyland Arena.
The Lions had season-highs for three-pointers and three-pointers attempted after they went 17 of 31 from beyond the arc.
Richard Rose made six from long distance, and
Kramer Soderberg and
Michael Boos each had four. That trio shot 70 percent from three-point range.
The three-point barrage started early on for Lindenwood with 11 in the first half, and that helped the team jump out to a 54-37 halftime lead. In the first eight minutes of the second half, Lindenwood put the game away when it outscored Graceland 21-12 and grabbed a 26-point advantage.
Lindenwood finished the game shooting 51.7 percent from the field, 54.8 percent from three-point range and 75 percent from the free throw line. Graceland shot 50 percent from the field, 44 percent from three-point range, and 81.8 percent from the charity stripe. Lindenwood had four more rebounds and one less turnover.
Rose finished with a season-high 27 points. He made seven of 10 from the field and connected on all seven free throws he attempted. Soderberg finished with 20 points and Boos had 14. In the post, Garrett Reed led the way with eight points.
Alex Bazzell finished with seven points and seven assists, and
Brett Thompson led the squad with seven boards.
Lindenwood improves to 23-3 overall and 14-2 in conference play. The Lions will be home on Monday night versus Avila.
