The Lindenwood men's volleyball team traveled to Milwaukee, Wis. on Saturday to take on Cardinal Stritch and Siena Heights. The Lions won both matches by 3-0 scores. Lindenwood opened the day beating Siena Heights 25-12, 25-16, 25-13. In the final match of the day the Lions defeated Cardinal Stritch by the scores 25-18, 25-16, 25-13
Against Siena Heights, the Lions were led by Taylor Morrill and Raphael Mattos, who each recorded seven kills. Mattos also led the team with seven digs. Mike Larson led the Lions with 16 assists and Carson Gissinger chipped in 12 helpers. Mike Warren recorded a pair of solo blocks and Scott Siwicki had three total blocks.
To close out the day against Cardinal Stritch, the Lions were led by Bradley Johnson, who recorded 12 kills, three aces, and eight digs. Warren also had 12 kills to go along with five total blocks. Larson once again led the team in assists with 23. Luke Knowlson led Lindenwood with seven total blocks.
With the two wins the Lions improve their overall record to 9-5. Up next for the Lions is a conference road match against Missouri Baptist on February 15.
