The Lindenwood baseball team closed out a weekend series against Georgetown College with a 3-0 loss on Sunday afternoon in Georgetown, Ky.
There wasn't much offense in the contest as the only three runs scored in the game were by the Tigers in the bottom of the first inning.
Julian Marquez started for the Lions and went one inning giving up five hits and three runs. The Lindenwood bullpen kept the Lions in striking distance, throwing seven innings and giving up just three hits.
In the end, the offense could not muster any runs against Tigers' starter, K.C. Massie. Georgetown outhit the Lions 7-4 and both teams committed an error.
The loss drops the Lions to 7-10 on the year. Lindenwood will begin conference play Saturday afternoon at the Lou Brock Sports Complex.
