The Lindenwood men's volleyball team swept Missouri Valley on Saturday at the Park Tournament in Parkville, Missouri. The Lions beat the Vikings by scores of 27-25, 25-20, and 25-23.
Matt Schmack led the way on offense with 12 kills.
Mike Warren tallied nine kills and
Jack Mitchell added eight. MItchell also posted three total blocks.
Mike Larson and
Carson Grissinger contributed 21 and 18 assists, respectively.
Mike Emerick gathered a team-high 14 digs, and
Tim Huizinga served two aces.
On Friday, Lindenwood fell to Clarke in four games by scores of 22-25, 31-33, 25-20, and 19-25.
Four Lions had double-digit kills, including Warren with 13,
JM Plummer with 12, Schmack with 11, and
Taylor Morrill with 10. Larson tallied a team-high 40 assists in the loss. Defensively, Larson gathered 12 digs and Corey Buehler had 11. Schmack led the way in blocks, contributing a total of eight, while Warren added six.
The Lions will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Hannibal, Missouri to take on the Trojans.
