Lady Lions Softball Struggles at Central Baptist Invitational

The Lindenwood softball team lost all four of their games at the Central Baptist Invitational this weekend in Conway, Arkansas. 

On Saturday, the Lady Lions were defeated 6-1 by Oklahoma City, and then dropped to Southern Nazarene by a score of 6-4. 

Against Oklahoma City, Lindenwood managed one run from two hits, and committed an error. The Lady Lions gave up six runs on 11 hits. Bailee Winkler continued her hot hitting, blasting another home run. 

The final game of the tournament was against Southern Nazarene. The Lady Lions made five errors defensively, and gave up six runs on 10 hits. Offensively, Lindenwood swung the bats better, scoring four runs on nine hits. Winkler hit her third home run of the weekend.

On Friday, the Lady Lions fell to Rogers State 7-6, and then lost to Oklahoma Christian 6-5.

In the first game, Rogers State managed to score seven runs on 11 hits, while Lindenwood scored six runs on 10 hits, and committed one error. Kimberleigh Griffin ended up with the loss.

In game two, Oklahoma Christian totaled six runs on seven hits, but received some help from Lindenwood's defense, which committed three errors. The Lady Lions registered five runs on seven hits. Courtney Locke, Jessica Long, and Winkler all hit home runs in the game. Aubrey Moss was given the loss. 

Lindenwood will return home on Wednesday to play host to Bemidji State in a double-header.
