The Lindenwood softball team swept William Jewell in a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon in Liberty, Missouri, with the Lady Lions winning the games by scores of 11-6 and 3-2.
Megan Noe got the win for Lindenwood on the mound, pitching in relief of
Aubrey Moss, and went 4 1/3 innings, allowing just one run on two hits.
Bailee Winkler,
Emily Johnson, and
Sophia Galati each hit homeruns in the win, and Winkler recorded a team-high three hits.

In game two, both teams' offenses were much quieter. William Jewell got its two runs early in the first on a two-run homerun, but did not score after that.
The Lady Lions began their scoring in the fourth on an RBI-double by
Jessica Long. After putting another run on the board in the sixth, Lindenwood completed its comeback win in the eighth on a homerun by

Adi Powell, pitching four shutout innings, not allowing a hit and striking out three batters.
Lindenwood (27-21, 13-5) is off until Monday, when the team travels to Elsah, Illinois to play Principia in a doubleheader.
