Storyline
The Lindenwood Lions men's basketball team is finally making a return to the Hyland Arena. So far this season the Lions have played only two games at home. After a 3-0 trip to Las Vegas, Lindenwood will play its next six out of seven games in St. Charles.
The week starts with the Lions playing Central Bible at home on Thursday night, then its only road game during the stretch against Mid-Continent in Kentucky.
Lindenwood will try to add on to its current 10 game winning streak. The team has won its last four home games dating back to the 2010-11 season.
Last Time Out
Last week, the Lions travelled to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Las Vegas Invitational. Lindenwood dominated its competition winning all three games by an average margin of 24 points.
The weekend started off with the Lions beating the La Sierra Golden Eagles 93-70. Lindenwood started off the contest on fire, shooting over 57 percent in the opening half.
Garrett Reeg led the way for the Lions scoring 24 points on eight-of-nine shooting from the field.
Tyler Ressel chipped in with 15 points.
In game two, the result was much of the same. Lindenwood used a big first half to roll to the 78-49 win over the Menlo Oaks. The Lions scored 46 points in the opening half and held Menlo to just 26 percent shooting.
Efkan Eren scored 18 first half points and led the team in scoring with those 18.
Michael Boos came off the bench to score 12 points.
To wrap up the team's stay in Las Vegas, Lindenwood beat Daemen 72-53. For the third straight game, the Lions scored over 40 first half points.
Three Lions scored in double figures led by
Kramer Soderberg's 22 points.
Alex Bazzell scored 16 and
Tyler Ressel chipped in with 14.
Quick Start
The first half has been very kind to the Lions this season. The team is averaging 45 first-half points, which is more than 12 points than its opponents.
Charity Stripe
The Lions have been frequent visitors to the free-throw line this season. The team is averaging 27 free-throw attempts a game, compared to its opponents who are taking just 17.
As a team, Lindenwood is shooting 75 percent from the free-throw line.
Alex Bazzell is leading the team with 110 attempts and has made 78 percent of his shots.
Streaking
After losing to Southwest Baptist in Alaska, the Lions have won their last 10 games. Its the programs third winning streak of at least 10 games. It is the second time in two years that the team has put together a winning streak of at least 10 games.
Dominating the Boards
The Lions have outrebounded their opponents in all but one game this season. The team is averaging over eight rebounds more than its opponent.
Soderberg Tearing it Up
Kramer Soderberg has continued his early season success and has led the Lions in scoring every game but four. The senior from St. Charles is leading the team in scoring with 18.6 points, and steals with 18. He is shooting 51 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free-throw line.
He was named to the All-Tournament team at the Alaskan Invitational and tournament MVP at the McKendree Classic.
Defense is Solid
The Lions' defense has been solid all season. The team has held opponents under 45 percent shooting nine times. The team is also holding opponents to just 67 points.
Leading at the Half
When Lindenwood has the lead at the half it equals a win. Through 13 games this season, the Lions have held a lead in 11 contests. In all 11 games, Lindenwood has finished with a win.
Reeg Dominating
Sophomore
Garrett Reeg has become a dominate force down low. Reeg is third on the team in scoring with 11.1 points a game and leads the team in rebounding with 7.2.
Ressel Scoring
Tyler Ressel has been a huge addition to this year's team. Ressel is averaging 9.6 points off the bench, and is leading the team with a 95 percent free-throw shooting and 57 percent from behind the three-point line.
Consistency
For all 13 games this season, the Lions have used the same starting lineup. The group of Soderberg, Thompson, Bazzell, Reeg, and Eren are scoring 58 points of the team's average of 89.
Leading Late
In every game but one this season, the Lions have held a lead with five minutes remaining. The team is 11-1 when leading in the final moments.
Home Court Advantage
The Hyland Arena floor has been very good to the Lions since
Brad Soderberg took over. In his two and half seasons at the helm, the team has compiled a record of 30-4 at home. This season, the team is 2-0, and over the past two years have a four game winning streak at home.
High Scoring Attack
Lindenwood has been pouring in the points this season. As a team, the Lions are averaging 89.7 points a game.

About Central Bible
Central Bible enters the game against the Lions with a record of 2-12. The Spartans are led by Kirk Hanson who is in his 33rd year at the helm.
About Mid-Continent
The Mid-Continent Cougars enter the week with a record of 1-11. The team will play games against Travecca Nazarene and Lyon before taking on the Lions.
Mid-Continent is averaging 74.6 points on offense and surrenders 67.7 on defense. The Cougars outrebound their opponents by more than four rebounds a game.
The team is led by a trio of Cougars that average in double figures. Larry Thompkins II is the team's leading scorer with an average of 13 points a game. Maurice Bynum is second on the team with 12.8 points and Charles Peden chips in with 12 points.
Winston Bennett was named the head coach in 2007. He has compiled a record of 62-81 in his five seasons.
