The Lindenwood field hockey team lost 1-0 against Limestone College Friday at Hunter Stadium.

The only goal of the game came with seven minutes left in the first half. Skylar Marcoux found the back of the net for the first time this season and the goal would hold up through the final 43 minutes to be the game-winner.

The Lady Lions came out strong in the second half but could not capitalize on multiple opportunities. Lindenwood outshot Limestone seven to three in the second half and 11 to six for the match.  The Lady Lions also held the advantage in corners with 16 to Limestone's nine.

Victoria Gil was in net for Lindenwood for her 10^th straight start. Lindsay Hinton had the shutout for Limestone stopping all eleven shots on goal by the Lady Lions.

Lindenwood will be back at Hunter Stadium in two days when they host Mercyhurst College at 11:00 a.m.
