Box Score 1 | Box Score 2
The Lindenwood baseball team split a pair of games against Christian Brothers University on Saturday afternoon in Memphis, Tenn.  The Lions won the opening game 3-2 and dropped the second game 6-4.

The opening game of the day started off well for both starting pitchers. Alex Sikes stymied Lindenwood's offense for the first seven innings. Finally, in the eighth the Lions broke through for a run. It was much of the same for Lindenwood starter Zac Pearman. He held the Bucs scoreless for the first seven innings as well. The home team broke through in the eighth as well, but just brought across one run.

In the ninth inning, the Lions scored two runs to take the 3-1 lead. Ryan Griffin came in for Lindenwood to try and close out the game. He surrendered one run but held on for the save.

Pearman (1-2) was awarded the win after going eight innings and striking out six. Colton Moore led the way for the Lions going three-for-five at the plate with two RBIs. Jason Streigel chipped in with two hits.

Lindenwood got out to an early lead in game two as well, scoring two runs in the second inning. Then the visitors added to the lead with two more runs in the fifth to take the 4-0 lead. Christian Brothers did not go away though. The Bucs tied the game up with a four run frame in the bottom of the fifth. Then Christian Brothers scored two more in the sixth to take the lead for good.

The Lions out hit the Bucs 10-7 but committed two errors. Dylan Terrell started on the hill and went 4 2/3 giving up just one earned run. Griffin pitched in game two as well but gave up two runs in one inning of work and suffered the loss.

Wade Rothermich led the way at the plate going two-for-three with a RBI. Daniel Weiman and Moore also had two hits each.

With the split the Lions record runs to 5-6. The same two teams will wrap up the weekend series tomorrow afternoon.
