The Lindenwood men's volleyball team fell to Carthage by a 3-0 score on Sunday afternoon in St. Louis, Mo. It was the second time this season that the Lions fell to the Red Men, one of the top-ranked teams at the NCAA Division III level.
Lindenwood led for much of the first two sets, but Carthage came back late in both for the victory. The Lions then struggled throughout the final set, having five more hitting errors than kills.
Jack Mitchell led Lindenwood's offense with 16 kills and a .519 attack percentage. He also had a team-high eight digs and blocked two attacks.
Michael Adams finished with nine kills and
Tim Schmidt had a team-high 34 assists. The leading blocker was
Logan Jarus with five.
Lindenwood falls to 13-8 on the season. The Lions will next play at Fontbonne on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
