Lions Baseball Team Drops Two Games to Lubbock Christian

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lindenwood baseball team fell in a pair of games in Lubbock, Texas to Lubbock Christian on Saturday afternoon. The Chaps won game one 9-2 and were also victorious in the second game 3-0.

Lubbock Christian scored a run in all six innings on its way to the win in the opening game. The Chaps scored single runs in the first, second, third, fourth, and the fifth. They capped off the home teams scoring with four in the bottom of the sixth. The Lions didn't score any runs until the top of the seventh when they brought across two.

Lindenwood was able to muster just four hits. Matt Tellor had the Lions only damage with a two-run homerun. Zac Pearman started on the hill for Lindnewood and went five innings surrendering nine earned runs.

The final game of the day was a pitcher's duel between the Lions and the Chaps. Neither team was able to score any runs until the fifth inning. The home team finally broke through in the fifth with a three-run frame. Those three runs was all Lubbock Christian needed.

Both teams compiled five hits and the Lions committed one error. Marrio Parra led the Lindenwood offense with two hits in three at bats. Dylan Terrell started on the mound for the Lions and went 4 2/3 innings giving up two runs on just two hits.

After the two losses Lindenwood dropped to 13-11. These two teams will be back in action Sunday afternoon in Lubbock, Texas.
