Men's Volleyball Falls In Four Sets At California Baptist

The Lions volleyball team dropped its third straight match on Tuesday night with a 3-1 setback against California Baptist. Lindenwood lost to its west coast rival by scores of 35-33, 18-25, 25-22, and 25-19.

After splitting the first two sets, the Lancers offense came alive in sets three and four. Lindenwood held California Baptist to just .115 hitting for the first two sets, but the Lancers hit over .300 for the last two sets. Lindenwood could not keep up, hitting just .111 in sets three and four.

Austin Tudor led the Lions with a double-double of 14 kills and 11 digs. Both Michael Adams and Jack Mitchell also came close to double-doubles. Adams had 11 kills and eight digs, while Mitchell had nine kills and 11 digs. Tim Schmidt had a team-high 45 assists and Logan Jarus had five blocks. Scott Siwicki was the team's most productive hitter with nine kills and a .400 hitting percentage.

Lindenwood goes to 15-11 on the season. The same two teams will meet again on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. (pacific).
