The Lindenwood men's volleyball team was swept on Friday night in Phoenix, Ariz. by Grand Canyon. The Antelopes won the match by scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 25-15.
Grand Canyon hit .455 for the match with 48 kills and just eight hitting errors. The Lions were able to score on their serve just 25 percent of the time, and they finished with 37 kills and 16 hitting errors. The Antelopes also recorded seven more digs and four more blocks.
Jack Mitchell led Lindenwood with a double-double of 10 kills and 11 digs.
Michael Adams finished with nine kills and had a team-high two blocks. Setter
Tim Schmidt collected 32 assists for the match.
Lindenwood falls to 16-12 on the season. The Lions and Grand Canyon will play again on Saturday at 6 p.m. (mountain time).
