Box Score The Lindenwood baseball team took an early lead against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos on Friday night in Weatherford, Okla. but the home team came back and took game one of the weekend series 4-1.
Wade Rothermich started off the contest with a leadoff single and then scored on a sacrifice fly by
Colton Moore. Unfortunately, for the Lions that was the last time the team scored a run.
Central Oklahoma tied the score in the third inning and added to its total with single tallies in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings.
Lindenwood was outhit 13-5 and the Bronchos committed three errors. Rothermich led the Lions at the plate with one hit in four at bats, and also scored the teams only run. Dylan Terrel started on the mound for the Lindenwood and went eight innings while giving up four earned runs.
The loss dropped the Lions to 15-13 on the season. The two teams will be back in action on Saturday for the second game of the three-game series.
