Box Score The Lindenwood baseball team fell 9-7 to the Northeastern State Riverhawks on Sunday afternoon in the final game of a three-game series in Tahlequah, Okla.
The Lions fell behind early when the Riverhawks scored two runs in the second, third, and fourth innings. Lindenwood's offense did battle back though, tying the game up in the seventh inning via a four run frame.
But unfortunately for the Lions, the home team answered right back and took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Riverhawks closed out the contest and went on to the series sweep.
Wade Rothermich and
Mike Wilson each hit home runs for Lindenwood .
Ryan Light chipped in with two hits, two RBIs, and two runs scored.
Brian Hruby started on the hill for the Lions and lasted just four innings.
After the loss Lindenwood drops to 6-9 on the season. The Lions will take on Trinity International next weekend at the Lou Brock Sports Complex.
