Men's Lacrosse Moves Above .500

Box Score The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team moved above .500 on Sunday with a 15-7 victory over Shorter at Hunter Stadium.

The Lions trailed 4-1 after the first quarter but outscored the Hawks 14-3 for the rest of the game. Lindenwood outshot Shorter 52-25, including a 42-17 mark for the final three quarters. Andrew Szczepan and Josh Arras both had four points with three goals and an assist. Justin Stuebing and McNein Hewitt each scored twice, and Greg Cameron and Joe Roy had two points apiece with a goal and an assist.

Dan Ashlock got the win in goal and made six saves in the game. Grame Hossack and Jack Carroll each had four groundballs, and Daniel Strike caused four turnovers. Richard Wilson was 16-of-22 on faceoffs helping Lindenwood have a big edge in possession time.

Lindenwood goes to 6-5 on the season. The Lions will be in action on Wednesday morning with an 11 a.m. game at Hunter Stadium against Adams State.
