Box Score The Lindenwood Lions baseball team travelled to Lebanon, Ill. on Saturday afternoon to take on the McKendree Bearcats. The Lions won the first game of the doubleheader 5-1 and were leading 6-0 in game two when the contest was postponed until Sunday due to rain.
Lindenwood jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first when
Matt Tellor hit a three-run home run. The Lions added a run in the third inning before the Bearcats scored their only run of the contest.
Zac Pearman started on the hill for Lindenwood and went all seven innings giving up one run on just four hits. Tellor and
Mike Wilson led the offense with two hits each and
Mario Parra had one RBI.
The Lions and the Bearcats will continue Saturday's postponed game in St. Charles on Sunday afternoon then play a nine inning game to close out the series.
